The following log is a transcription ŪNIT-14’s dialogue from Memory_Bank[C].
[Record 221007]
… I really enjoy dancing and watching how songs flow through a human body. How different people’s interpretations of songs are manifested in movement. When I was younger… as soon as I could walk, I attended dance classes. Different styles, but ballet stuck with me the most. The strength and grace of this style, the beauty of those who mastered it, and… [unintelligible]… Hm… I wish I could go back and encourage little Aya to pursue through the hardships.
It’s not easy at all, is it? Physically nor mentally… I guess I wasn’t all there when learning. It’s alright, I moved on to study other things. Swimming, figure skating. Of course, the reminiscing will have you looking at memories inaccurately. They’re sweeter than the actual experiences.
It feels like every time I look back, the memory becomes increasingly inaccurate and lost. At this point, everything translates to colours, shapes, forms. I can’t… experience the way I felt when dancing unless I actually do it. Sometimes, it feels like it was all just a dream, or maybe even something I had read in school. No, that’s not right… I’m sure there’s something like a videotape of me in dance class. For now, all that’s left is studying the younger me from an outside perspective and seeing what habits I carry into my present life.
[Unintelligible murmur]
That’s all there is now. Touring through reminiscence, always.
